Running from <strong>January 30th to February 2nd, 2025<\/strong>, the festival promises an eventful lineup of events to <strong>inspire<\/strong>, entertain, and involve the whole community. \ud83c\udf0a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Ireland\u2019s only bilingual city, Galway invites you to embrace whatever level of Irish you have in a fun, welcoming atmosphere. Whether it&#8217;s joining the <strong>free C\u00e9il\u00ed M\u00f3r and fire shows<\/strong> in Eyre Square or exploring <strong>bilingual concerts, workshops, food tours, and family events<\/strong> in Galway&#8217;s much-loved venues like the Town Hall Theatre, An Taibhdhearc, The Mick Lally Theatre and PorterShed a D\u00f3, there\u2019s something for everyone. All events are bilingual, accessible, and inclusive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s festival features some <strong>hugely anticipated headliners<\/strong> such as <strong>M\u00e1irt\u00edn O\u2019Connor Trio supported by Padraig Jack <\/strong>at the Town Hall Theatre on Sunday, February 2nd.<strong> R\u00edoghnach Connolly <\/strong>will be joined by <strong>An Ch\u00e9ad Ghl\u00fain Eile<\/strong> in An Taibhdhearc on Saturday 1st celebrating Brigid&#8217;s day. <strong>Jiggy<\/strong> live at the R\u00f3is\u00edn Dubh on Friday, January 31st. <strong>Galway Food Tours<\/strong> hosts a unique bilingual food and whiskey tour. With tickets selling fast, now is the time to secure your spot. Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tonnta.eu\">www.tonnta.eu<\/a> for tickets and the full programme.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tonnta also showcases the best of Irish creativity and culture, including the premiere of a <strong>new Irish language commission<\/strong> by James Riordan of Br\u00fa Theatre Company, presented at An Taibhdhearc on Friday, January 31st, with the support of Creative Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>free programme<\/strong> of engaging events will take place at the PorterShed a D\u00f3, Market Street, on Saturday, February 1st, including <strong>bilingual yoga<\/strong>, Brigid&#8217;s cross-weaving, Irish language conversational sessions in partnership with the Claddagh Credit Union and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The popular <strong>Cosy Club<\/strong> hosted by Kayte O\u2019Malley will take place in the HYDE on Saturday the 1st. Film lovers won\u2019t want to miss the special screening of the award-winning bilingual film <em>Froggie<\/em> at P\u00e1l\u00e1s, followed by a panel discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>Sunday, February 2nd<\/strong>, the festival\u2019s <strong>L\u00e1 na bP\u00e1ist\u00ed<\/strong> moves to Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh, Knocknacarra, one of Galway\u2019s two designated Gaeltacht areas, with the support of \u00dadar\u00e1s na Gaeltachta. Families can enjoy, <strong>workshops, games, circus skills, face painting, and a kids\u2019 disco.&nbsp; <\/strong>Furthermore, and with special support from TG4, the young people will be able to meet presenters from the TV channel C\u00fala4, have fun learning and exploring television skills, as well as practising in front of the camera!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Eyre Square will come alive on Saturday, February 1st, with a <strong>free C\u00e9il\u00ed M\u00f3r (2pm to 5pm)<\/strong> and spectacular <strong>fire performances<\/strong> at 5 pm and 7 pm, celebrating the beauty of the Irish language. Closing out the festival, back by demand, will be the <strong>Dirty Circus as Gaeilge<\/strong> on Sunday, February 2nd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The festival is co-funded by <strong>Galway City Council, \u00dadar\u00e1s na Gaeltachta, Plean Teanga Chathair na Gaillimhe and Creative Ireland.&nbsp; <\/strong><strong>C\u00fala4, <\/strong><strong>Claddagh Credit Union, <\/strong><strong>F\u00e1ilte Ireland, &nbsp;RT\u00c9 Supporting the Arts<\/strong><strong>, and TG4 also support this bilingual initiative<\/strong>. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gaillimh le Gaeilge would like to thank their hospitality partners on board so far<strong>, Clayton Hotel Galway, Galway Bay Hotel, The Ardilaun Hotel, Radisson Red Hotel, The Galmont Hotel &amp; Spa and The Kings Head.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Thursday, January 30<sup>th<\/sup> &nbsp;the Mayor of the City of Galway, Cllr.
