Sinéad Ní Chuinn
Development and Communication Officer
Sinéad Ní Chuinn was raised bilingual in County Laois, in the heart of Ireland, and has been living in Galway for the past five years. Growing up, her mother instilled in her a love for the Irish language, teaching her both at home and in the classroom, where she was Sinéad’s teacher in Gaelscoil Phort Laoise. She remembers her mother singing and reading Irish songs and poems to the class. Her mother brought the language to life for her, and ever since, Sinéad knew she wanted to live her life through Irish. Sinéad went on to graduate with an Honours Degree in Translation Studies and Media Studies from the University of Galway in 2024. In her third year of university, she worked with Cúla4 as a Social Media Coordinator. During that time, the brand-new Cúla4 channel was launched. She was also awarded a Diploma in Social Media Marketing from UCD Professional Academy in 2023. After university, she worked with Ros na Rún as a Floor Manager and on several other TG4 and Cúla4 productions. As a young person, she is dedicated to ensuring that the Irish language thrives in the city of Galway. She is delighted to be part of the Gaillimh le Gaeilge team and to contribute to the promotion and progress of the Irish language in this vibrant city.
