Last week, an Irish-language Christmas Card Workshop for Ability West and the Snipe Day Service, in partnership with the Galway City Language Plan, took place in Ability West, Galway City.
Majella, the Language Planning Officer with Gaillimh le Gaeilge, led the workshop for service users in Ability West and the Snipe Day Service. Several of those attending were native Irish speakers from Spiddal, Moycullen, Leitir Mealláin, and other areas in Conamara.
The aim of the workshop is to provide opportunities for people with disabilities and to include them in the work of the Galway City Language Plan.
These Irish-language Christmas Cards will soon be on sale in local shops in Galway City.
