Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2018
The Gradam nominees will be unveiled in the Galway Advertiser during Seachtain na Gaeilge on Thursday, 8th of March 2018. 15 of the 22 nominees are entering the Gradam for the very first time this year.
The nominees have over two months to prepare as adjudication will take place in mid-April, so, a very busy and exciting time ahead for all!
This year, the total value of the prizes and benefits is over €23,000, generously sponsored by established and well-known Galway businesses and organisations along with substantial publicity and of course the prestigious title as the 15th Tribe of Galway.
An Gearrliosta will be announced by Méara Chathair na Gaillimhe, an Comhairleoir Pearce Flannery on Tuesday the 24th of April in the O’Donoghue Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance.
Moltóirí Ghradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2018 announced
There is a strong independent adjudicating panel selected again this year for Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh and Gaillimh le Gaeilge are delighted to announce that they are; Aelmuire Mullaney (Ní Ógartaigh) daughter of Seosamh Ó hÓgartaigh, Freda Nic Giolla Chatháin, Príomhfheidhmeanach Ghnó Mhaigh Eo and Sonya Nic Lochlainn, Bainisteoir Seirbhísí Corparáideacha, Údarás na Gaeltachta. The moltóirí will meet at the middle of April to select the Gearrliosta. Ta Gaillimh le Gaeilge fíorbhuíoch dóibh as ucht a gcuid ama don phróiseas mholtóireachta.

Galway Food Tours is a 2.5 hour culinary walking tour of Galway.
