The Galleon – Buaiteoirí Ghradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2013

21st January 2017

“We at The Galleon Restaurant, Bóthar na Trá are extremely honored and proud to be named the winners of Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2013. It was a pivotal moment in the history of The Galleon Restaurant.  Since winning the Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2013, we now realise that the hard work is just beginning, we are proud that we are now officially recognised as a bilingual restaurant. It is our duty and our desire to promote the Irish language in our everyday tasks, and to become an example to our neighbours and all businesses who wish to advocate the Irish language just as we are doing. Our aim is to continue to support and encourage efforts to gain bilingual status for the City of Galway.”
