Strategy 2023-2025 represents the next step in Gaillimh le Gaeilge’s development. It addresses the challenges and opportunities presented by the Galway City Irish Language Plan (2020-2026) and it guides the organisation’s work in the context of the broader opportunities, supporting Gaillimh | Galway’s bilingual future.

Celebrating its 20th year, Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh is taking place this evening in the g hotel, where Jack Chambers TD, Government Chief Whip and Minister of State with responsibility for Sport and the Gaeltacht, will announce the Category Winners and the Overall Winner of the Gradam.

Gaillimh le Gaeilge relaunched the campaign #GRMAGaillimh this week with a video highlighting the city’s unique and special character attributed to Galway’s bilingual status.

Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh or as the people of Galway know it as “The Gradam”, is now open for nominations. 

Following a record number of entries, 16 finalists, five categories and two rounds of judging, Big O Taxis, Galway and the west of Ireland’s largest taxi company with 150 taxis,

Jack Chambers TD, Government Chief Whip and Minister of State with responsibility for Sport and the Gaeltacht, will announce the Category Winners and the Overall Winner of Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2021 at a special awards ceremony taking place this week, Thursday the 4th of November, in the g Hotel, Old Dublin Road at 6.30pm.

Gaillimh le Gaeilge is pressing ahead and making every effort to produce Dialann 2022 for those who wish to have a copy.
